If you read my post last Friday, you know that Margaret and I participated in Questival with our boyfriends over the weekend. Questival is a 24-hour adventure race that pushes you to experience new things in your surroundings with your friends. The 24 hours began at 7:00pm on Friday, March 24 and ended at 7:00pm on Saturday, March 25.
After the time period ended, my team was ranked 182 of 458 with 387 points. We drove over 250 miles in one weekend and explored Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill, and Raleigh. We got to do some really cool things while we were out!
Some of the challenges we were involved in:
If I were to ever do this again, I probably wouldn’t camp. Smoke is bad for my asthma and I’m allergic to a bunch of plants! I would also want to put much more forethought and planning into it! However, it was still a great time and I’m so glad that I go to experience this with my friends. I would totally recommend Questival to anyone, and there’s probably one reasonably close to you at some point during the year!
There’s no better way to get through a mid-semester slump than to blitz out some adventures. Now back, to the last bit of my second year at NC State in the City of Oaks! It’s hard to imagine that 43 days from now I will have finished my last final and be moving out, but I know that I’ll have my friends by my side through the whole thing. If they survived 24 hours straight with me, with the good and the bad, I think they’ll hold up a little while longer!
